| I was able to rent a house about 10Km outside of Chiang Mai. It is in what is called "Mooban" or village. It is built of mostly teak wood and is what is call Lanna Style which is the native northern peoples. With "kitchen house", gate house, fish pond, and the large fenced yard it is fairly impressive looking. For about $340/mth is isn't bad. My Thai neighbors think I am the "rich American". Little do they know. |

UPDATE!
This was a great place for the money, but I soon
learned I was not a full time gardener and fix it man.
After the first year I moved into a more typical middle class home for the same
price.
